Hello out there in CE land! We thought
we'd check in with you all and
see how we're doing so far. We've had
a fantastic time playing new
venues around the state,
making new friends and sharing
our love of
the Floyd. We have big plans for
expansion of our region over the
coming months, so if you want to have
us come to your town, let us
know! Better yet, tell your favorite
large club owner! We're
negotiating several new shows right
now and we'll post them as soon
as ink is to paper. We have two new
venues in November, each a prime
concert location, so be sure to come
out and join us.
Jimmy is working hard on the website
bringing it up to speed and
our myspace exposure is growing
rapidly. Friend us and tell your
friends! We'll also be giving more
attention to our facebook page,
adding more good stuff as we go along.
Once it's been grown we'll put
up a fresh link to let you know. We've
been working on more new
material that we'll bring out at our
upcoming shows at MVCC, The
Westcott and Frank's
Roadhouse.
Let us know what you think!
We're efforting to repair our bulletin
board, please stay tuned for
updates.

Greetings friends and fans!
We're thrilled to announce the re-birth of Childhood's End. Gregory John has re-joined the band as our signature guitarist, joining Gregory, Eric Garboushian and Steve Schad in the line-up is Tim Robinson on guitars and vocals and Jimmy Simpson Puma on bass and vocals. With the addition of Tim as a second guitarist Gregory has more leeway to stretch out his immeasurable skills as lead guitarist.
We've been hard at work since the end of last summer rehearsing new material and refining our stage production. We'll be updating our website and myspace page more often, so stay tuned for more info. We'll be working out our production in several club shows over the coming months before returning to larger stages by summertime. Childhood's End has officially come back to life, come share the magic of Pink Floyd at a venue near you soon. To paraphrase a good friend of ours, we'll be tickled pink to see you at a show in the future.

Due to personnel departures, Childhood's End is going on hiatus. Ian Cattell is currently seeking other projects in the UK, Gregory John has left the band for professional reasons. We are not abandoning CE as an entity and it continues to exist in the minds of the players.
We would like to thank all of the people that have supported us over the years and we promise to return with something for you to listen to soon. During this time away, we will be concentrating on writing original material, expanding our base and improving our general standards of production, performance and promotion. This is not the end of the story, just the end of a chapter. More to come soon...

Two new tidbits added to the Sound Clips page. These are actually not new, just not posted here before.

Childhood's End has lined up some additional talent for the Palace show. After gracing the stage for September's Wall show, Rick Mulvihill will again lend his guitar and voice to the lineup. Also, Evan Knight from New Day and AfterFX will be playing Sax.

We pulled it off this time - with no interruptions! The show was a smashing success. A huge thanks goes to the crew, guest musicians, and to all those who came to the show. The big surprise of the evening was the number of young people in attendance. It tickles us pink to see that a new generation of Floyd fans is thriving and hungry for more. Looks like Childhood's End is going to make a habit of playing at the Palace. We heard a lot of people shouting out lots of tunes that were not on the list for the evening, which means our job is not done. Look for us to be playing there a few times a year, perhaps a full set of Animals and WYWH - what do you think? Let us know on the bulletin board.
9/10/05
We've just locked in production for the Palace show. The light show will rival the one at area 52 - a fully intelligent computerized show with a couple dozen moving lights. We'll also be utilizing the giant screen at the palace for video. As if that's not enough, the show will be mixed in quadraphonic sound. Be prepared to be surrounded and immersed in a truly Floydian sound, light, and video projection experience.

Were you at Area 52? Did you totally miss the gig? Would you like another chance? We're working to put on the entire Wall somewhere the cops and delays won't be an issue. Looks like mid-September is going to be the time. Stay tuned for further details.

There is a brand spanking new new bulletin board (thanks Tom). You will need to register again (sorry, the previous database is gone) Please use it and let us know what you think of the events of last night.
8/07/05
Thanks to all who came to Area 52. We want to apologize to all who made the effort to come to the show, who patiently waited for the two hour late performance, only to have the show shut down by the police in the first 15 minutes. The band and crew put a lot of work into this project. We wanted nothing more than to have an enjoyable evening and to experience The Wall in all of it's glory. I find it ironic that for all of the expense of the evening, the law enforcment helicopters surely spent more money circling the venue than was spent on the concert itself. Your tax dollars at work. Most of all, thank you Ken, Ron, and Tim for the privilige of playing on one of the coolest stages ever. We will finish this show sometime, somewhere.
8/03/05
If you would like to go to the performance of the Wall at Area 52 on Aug. 6th, please request your invite on or before friday evening (Aug. 5th). We can try, but not guarantee any changes to the guest list the day of the show.
8/02/05
WOW! That's about all I can say about the turnout for Harborfest. I believe some thanks are in order to the Grucci Family as the major draw. We can't describe the feeling of looking out over a sea of over 10,000 people. Thanks to all who came. It was an evening to remember. There will be video clips and stills as soon as we can find the time (pun intended).
Sorry about the lack of news updates recently. I can't say enough about all the work that has gone into preparing for Harborfest and most of all the Wall show coming up in just a few days. Thanks to all, without whom, these big shows would not be possible.
6/27/05
The outdoor show previously known as Kennyfest is taking place at Woodhenge Area 52 (same site as last year). This years lineup consists of many local bands and will start in the early afternoon (details pending). Childhood's End will close the evening with Dark Side of the Moon and The Wall -- in their entirety! Dont miss this opportunity to see The Wall from beginning to end. Childhood's End along with many guest instrumentalists and vocalists will perform from behind the wall and bring it down for the big finale. This show will surround the audience with light, sound, and images and animations. Go to the Dates page to get yourself on the guest list as this is an invitation only event.
6/26/05
We are working diligently to fix the Bulletin Board. Please stay tuned.
5/28/05
